Overview

The 25th edition of the Mellrichstadt Christmas Market took place on the weekend of December 13–14, 2025 – Saturday from 1 PM, Sunday from 12 PM. The Bürgerhaus, Marktplatz, and Roßmarkt hosted hobby artists and craftspeople, along with live music, mulled wine, and gingerbread. The Kufengaudi ice rink on the Marktplatz and the large Christmas bauble as a selfie spot completed the Advent atmosphere in the Rhön.

Anniversary Edition 2025

With its 25th edition, the Mellrichstadt Christmas Market celebrated a remarkable quarter-century in 2025. The town of Mellrichstadt and the "Aktives Mellrichstadt" city marketing team offered a program that continued the established tradition while also honoring the anniversary year. The weekend attracted visitors from all over Rhön-Grabfeld and neighboring Thuringia.

Mellrichstadt in the Rhön Advent

As every year, the 2025 market was part of the dense Rhön Advent calendar, with numerous smaller events in neighboring towns such as Bad Königshofen, Münnerstadt, Ostheim vor der Rhön, and across the state border into Hesse.
