Evening wine festival in the chestnut grove above the Rosengarten vineyard with torchlight and Palatinate live music
The Keschdebusch above Kapellen-Drusweiler is a typical Palatinate chestnut grove that characterizes the region between Bad Bergzabern and Landau. In late spring, it forms the backdrop for a special event: Meet Your Winemakers in Keschdebusch invites you to a relaxed evening where guests can personally get to know the winemakers of the municipality at standing tables and benches among the chestnut trees.
The concept focuses on tasting portions rather than full glasses: With a wine tasting card, guests can sample the range of participating winemakers, tasting a small selection at each station. This provides an overview of the breadth of Kapellen-Drusweiler wines – from Riesling and Pinot Blanc to Rosé and Pinot Noir – and is also an invitation for personal conversations with the winemaking families.
The evening is accompanied musically by the Palatinate band Flo Schulz & Friendz. Their mix of covers, pop, and their own songs in Palatinate dialect appeals to the audience and creates a relaxed yet lively atmosphere without overshadowing the character of a wine tasting evening.
As darkness falls, torches are lit in Keschdebusch. Fairy lights among the chestnut trees and the view down to the Rhine plain with the lights of the Palatinate region make the location the highlight of the evening. Those who wish can extend the festival with a walk in the surrounding vineyards under the open sky.
June 3, 2026, falls on a Wednesday, giving the event a special character: Instead of a weekend festival, 'Meet Your Winemakers' is a weekday evening event focused on a relaxed after-work vibe and concentrated enjoyment. It's worth arriving early to experience the sunset over the Palatinate vineyards and the slow transition into the torchlit ambiance.
The exact program for 2026, including a list of participating winemakers, will be published by the organizer shortly before the festival. The following key points have been announced.
