Overview

The Meersburg Christmas Market 2025 once again attracted thousands of visitors to the festively decorated old town on Lake Constance on the first Advent weekend. At the Castle Square in front of Germany's oldest inhabited castle and in the medieval Vorburggasse, exhibitors presented handicrafts, mulled wine, and Lake Constance specialties in one of the most atmospheric Advent settings by the lake.

Christmas Market 2025 in Meersburg

In 2025, the traditional Meersburg Christmas Market opened again for the first Advent weekend, transforming the Castle Square in front of Germany's oldest inhabited castle and the medieval Vorburggasse into one of the most romantic Advent markets on Lake Constance. Around 30 stalls offered handicrafts from the Lake Constance region, smoked whitefish and char, Lake Constance wine, Lake Constance apple brandy, mulled wine, and gingerbread.

The festively illuminated old town with views of the Untersee and the Swiss side, the narrow half-timbered alleys, and the imposing backdrop of the castle complex made the market one of the most atmospherically valuable Advent experiences in Southern Germany. Admission was, as usual, free.
