Overview

From June 6th to 8th, 2025, the Medieval Winegrowers' Days Steinbach took place in the historic small town. As every year, the Steinbach wine-growing village was transformed into a medieval spectacle with customs, knightly games, theatre, minstrels, and Baden wines. The Steinbach town band, in their post-event report, thanked all participants — a typical indication of how much the festival is supported by Steinbach's association structures and volunteers. The first weekend in June has been the fixed date for decades.

2025 — Steinbach's Städtl in Medieval Mode

The 2025 edition took place on the traditional date (1st weekend in June, June 6–8) and once again showed why the festival has been one of the most important medieval wine events in Southern Germany for decades. The historic small town with its half-timbered houses, old town wall, and St. Jakobus Church provided the ideal backdrop for three days of customs, music, and wine. The Steinbach associations — the town band as the main organizer, along with the traditional costume association, sports club, fire department, schools, and wineries — jointly shaped the program and catering. The Steinbach town band published their thanks to all involved afterwards — an indication that the festival is understood as a community effort, not a commercial event.
