Edition 2025 — Medieval Festival Tenneberg
The 2025 Medieval Festival at Schloss Tenneberg once again attracted medieval enthusiasts and families from Thuringia, Hesse, and Saxony-Anhalt to the hilltop castle above Waltershausen. Two days of authentic medieval life with knight fights, 30 stalls, and an atmospheric setting in the Thuringian Forest.
The 2025 edition once again confirmed the festival's reputation as one of Thuringia's most beautiful medieval festivals. The medieval association Authentica Castrum Walinvels and its international guests set standards in historical authenticity — from the choice of materials for costumes to the preparation techniques for the food. Schloss Tenneberg once again proved its suitability as an exceptional backdrop for reenactment events.
