Overview
The Medieval Civic Festival Gräfenberg 2025 continued the tradition established in 2010. Three days of medieval life on Gräfenberg's market square — concerts with medieval bands, camp life, historical crafts, fire show, and the traditional historical wedding procession on Sunday. In summer weather, thousands of visitors from Franconian Switzerland, Nuremberg, Forchheim, and the entire region flocked to the historic old town. Organizer: Association Mittelalterliches Bürgerfest Gräfenberg e.V.
The 2025 edition once again showcased all the elements of the proven festival structure: medieval music on the main stage, camp life spread across the market square, historical craft demonstrations, archery, and children's theater. The spectacular fire show on Saturday evening and the historical wedding procession on Sunday were again highlights. Friday evening was traditionally free and attracted a local audience, while Saturday and Sunday drew medieval enthusiasts from all over Southern Germany.
