Overview

The Munich Advent Spectacle 2025, like in previous years, attracted thousands of visitors to Wittelsbacherplatz. The medieval booth town, mead and Feuerzangenbowle, suckling pig from the spit, and a dense cultural program on all Advent weekends confirmed the market as Munich's most significant medieval event during Advent. Exhibitors from all over Southern Germany presented their medieval crafts over the five Advent weeks.

The 2025 edition ran in the proven format — open daily from mid-November until December 23, with the classic mix of medieval aesthetics, craft presentations, and catering. Munich residents come after work for a relaxed mulled wine, while tourists from all over the world discover the spectacle as an alternative to the crowded Marienplatz market.

The Advent Spectacle confirms its special status in Munich's Advent landscape year after year. The combination of a representative city center location, consistent medieval aesthetics, and a solid, high-quality range of goods makes the market one of the most beautiful medieval markets in Southern Germany.
