Overview

The sixth MAXiLAUF Hamm on May 18, 2025, broke the event's participation record — nearly 2,200 runners took part in the five distances. The half marathon, with 460 participants, was the largest individual race. Feedback from the Westphalian running scene was unanimously positive: good organization, nature-oriented course through Lippe meadows and along the Datteln-Hamm Canal, wide paths, motivating support at refreshment stations (Schloss Heesen, Gut Lödding).

MAXiLAUF 2025 — Record Edition

With nearly 2,200 participants, the sixth MAXiLAUF set a new record. The DLV-measured half marathon circuit along the Lippe meadows and the Datteln-Hamm Canal attracted 460 runners — the strongest half marathon in the event series to date. The 10 km, 5 km, Schoolchildren's Run, and Bambini Run were also well attended. Organizer Sport und Freizeit Hamm gGmbH drew a consistently positive conclusion: wide paths, quick dispersal of the field, hardly any head-on traffic, and a well-functioning refreshment concept with stations at Schloss Heesen (km 7) and Gut Lödding/Holunderweg (km 18). The positive assessment was a prerequisite for integration into the NRW State Gymnastics Festival in 2026.
