Overview

The 2025 edition of the Martinsmarkt in Hamburg-Bergedorf took place on the first weekend of November around the St. Petri and Pauli Church – with two market days, arts and crafts, food, and club stalls, a children's program, the traditional lantern parade on Sunday evening, and the Sunday shopping event in the city center.

The 2025 edition continued the long-standing tradition. The market proceeded as usual, and the lantern parade on Sunday evening once again attracted hundreds of families from Bergedorf and Lohbrügge. St. Martin on horseback, followed by the TSG brass band and children with homemade lanterns – this visual scene has been a part of Bergedorf's autumn for decades.

The parallel Sunday shopping event allowed shops in the Bergedorf/Lohbrügge city center a strong sales day and is considered one of the most successful retail dates of the year in the southeastern district of the state of Hamburg.
