Overview

In 2025, the Schützengesellschaft von 1712 e.V. again organized the Marktsteft Kirchweih with beer tapping, Kirchweih shooting competition, and festival activities at the Schützengarten. The festival service, parade of associations, and bar service on the weekend marked the traditional four-day Kirchweih celebration.

The Marktsteft Kirchweih 2025 took place, as usual, in early September and followed the established pattern. The public Kirchweih shooting competition was held on Friday and Saturday by the Schützengesellschaft von 1712 e.V., while the festival Sunday was dedicated to the festival service and parade.

The Schützengarten serves as the festival center and plays a key role in Marktsteft — it is also the venue for other association festivals throughout the year, from the asparagus shooting competition in May to the mulled wine event at Kernerplatz in December. The Kirchweih is the most important date in the annual calendar.
