Overview

The Maritime Week 2025 traditionally took place in September at the Schlachte. This edition also combined a week of maritime science, guided tours, and lectures with a grand closing weekend full of live music, culinary delights, and maritime show highlights.

The Maritime Week Bremen 2025 continued the long-standing tradition, transforming the Schlachte into the center of a wide-ranging week-long event.

The initial days focused on exhibitions, guided harbor tours, open ships, and scientific lectures. The University of Bremen, the Alfred Wegener Institute, and numerous maritime players from the region participated in the program, showcasing the diversity of the maritime economy and science in the Hanseatic city.

The closing weekend traditionally offered a festive atmosphere on the Weser: several stages with live music, international food stalls, a market with maritime products, and the spectacular dragon boat races on the Weser attracted thousands of visitors as always. The highlight was the evening light parade, where illuminated ships sailed downstream.

Admission to the entire program was free, as in all previous years.
