The HELLERAU festival season 2025 offered a selection of international dance and performance productions at the Festspielhaus and in the Hellerau Garden City. The concept of performances, workshops, and discourse shapes the venue's program line and lays the foundation for the thematic festival 'Make it Pop!' in 2026.
HELLERAU 2025
In 2025, HELLERAU — European Centre for the Arts in Dresden once again gathered internationally renowned choreographers and dance companies at the Festspielhaus designed by Heinrich Tessenow. The program line combines contemporary dance, performance, music theater, and discourse — embedded in the listed Hellerau Garden City, one of Europe's first planned artists' colonies.
In 2026, HELLERAU will focus on the relationship between performing arts and popular culture with 'Make it Pop!'.
