Mainau Open-Air Cinema — Edition 2025

At the Mainau Open-Air Cinema 2025, Mainau Island once again transformed into an extraordinary open-air film theater. Over four summer evenings in August, Mainau GmbH showed a diverse film program against the baroque backdrop of Mainau Castle. Before the film began, many visitors took advantage of the late afternoon sun for a stroll through the subtropical gardens, a visit to the Italian Rose Garden, or a refreshment in one of the Mainau restaurants. As darkness fell and the castle lights illuminated, the film screening began — an experience that makes the open-air cinema on the flower island a highlight of Lake Constance, shining far beyond the region.
