Overview

The 6th Main Matsuri took place in August 2025 in Büsingpark Offenbach: three days of Japanese culture with stage shows, cosplay contests, workshops, and Japanese gastronomy. Awarded in 2024 by the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs for promoting German-Japanese cultural relations. In 2025, Main Matsuri once again attracted Japan enthusiasts and cosplay fans from all over Germany to Büsingpark. Organizers: Japanese Cultural and Language Center + Hojinkai.

The proven format has shaped the festival for years, drawing audiences from the region as well as neighboring federal states. The annual edition contributes to Hesse's established festival calendar and is supported by local clubs, associations, and volunteers.
