Overview
In 2025, Sassen also held its traditional May bonfire on May 1st on the grounds of the Sassen agricultural cooperative. At dusk, the traditional fire was lit to mark the start of spring.
In 2025, Sassen once again upheld the tradition of the May bonfire. People from the community gathered on the grounds of the Sassen agricultural cooperative to experience the fire together at dusk.
The warmth and light of the fire, along with drinks and convivial company, made the evening a meeting point for the village community – a down-to-earth spring festival in the Peenetal valley.
