Overview
The 2025 May Festival of the Krefeld-Gellep-Stratum Fire Department once again combined Maypole raising, Open Day, and family program at the Legionstraße fire station. Bouncy castle, vehicle show, youth fire department, and brass band enlivened the first of May in southern Krefeld.
The 2025 edition confirmed the successful concept: service, Maypole raising, fire station Open Day, and family program — an established mix of tradition, community engagement, and recruitment for the Volunteer Fire Department.
Programme
Ecumenical service at 10 AM, Maypole raising at 10:30 AM, from 11 AM family program at the fire station with music from the Gellep-Stratum 1926 brass band.
