Overview
In 2025, the Benedictine Abbey Plankstetten once again invited guests to the Maibockfest in its baroque monastery courtyard. With freshly tapped organic Maibock, hearty brass band music, and organic delicacies from its own production, guests from all over the Upper Palatinate gathered.
The Maibockfest at Kloster Plankstetten, as usual, took place around May 1st in the baroque courtyard of the Benedictine Abbey in 2025. The traditional beer tapping ceremony by Abbot Dr. Beda Maria Sonnenberg OSB marked the start.
With freshly tapped organic Maibock, Bavarian brass band music, organic barbecue specialties, and monastery tours, the festival once again combined enjoyment, tradition, and Benedictine spirituality — a fixed date in the spring calendar of the Neumarkt region.
