In 2025, the Wustweiler fire brigade, first-graders, and the local heritage and tourism association also jointly erected the Maypole at the Kelter. A tradition maintained for years, bringing the village community together on the eve of May 1st.
As every year, the festival began with the first-graders decorating the pole. The fire brigade arrived at the Kelter, where the pole was erected to the applause of the villagers. Afterwards, the village celebrated the "Tanz in den Mai" (Dance into May) with live music and club gastronomy.
Programme
April 30th, 2025
- 4:00 PM — Maypole decoration by first-graders
- 5:30 PM — Erection of the Maypole at the Kelter by the Wustweiler Volunteer Fire Brigade
- 6:00 PM — Club gastronomy
- 8:00 PM — "Tanz in den Mai"
