Overview

The Vierländer Schützengesellschaft celebrated its 2025 Maibaumfest on May 1st as is traditional. From eleven o'clock, members and guests gathered at the Schützenhof in Neuengamme for a grill, punch, and a classic rural May Day in the Vier- und Marschlande.

The 2025 festival followed its established format. The mix of May tradition, cozy club atmosphere, and Maibowle confirmed the event's firm place in the Bergedorf spring calendar.

While May 1st in Hamburg's city center usually features demonstrations and large city festivals, the Schützenhof Neuengamme stuck to the traditional version: maypole, grill, neighbors — and a day that could have taken place a hundred years ago.
