Edition 2025 — Schützenfest Inden/Altdorf
The Mai- und Schützenfest Inden/Altdorf 2025 took place as usual on the first or second May weekend. Four days of program — maypole raising, king's shooting, parade, coronation ball — on the Driesch in Inden/Altdorf, organized by the Schützenbruderschaft Inden/Altdorf.
In 2025, the Schützenbruderschaft Inden/Altdorf continued the annual festival tradition. The May festival and marksmen's festival merged again into a four-day folk and marksmen's festival with a festival tent, stage program, and shooting competition.
The mix of classic marksmen's rituals (king's proclamation, coronation mass, parade) and May traditions (maypole raising, May dance) makes the Inden/Altdorf festival a characteristic example of Rhenish May festival culture.
