Overview
As in previous years, the festival week followed a thematic arc and brought guest artists from Germany and abroad to one of Central Germany's most significant sacred buildings. The traditional highlight was the Gala Concert on Pentecost Sunday with the Magdeburg Cathedral Choir, the Choir School, and a Baroque Orchestra conducted by Cathedral Music Director Christian Otto—a concept that sustains the Magdeburg Cathedral Festival year after year.
Programme
2025 Program: Vocal ensemble concerts, chamber music with the Otto String Quartet, a literary-musical reading, conservatory concert, and the grand Gala Concert with the Cathedral Choir, Choir School, Young Ecumenical Choir, and Baroque Orchestra under Cathedral Music Director Christian Otto.
