Overview

The 29th edition of Luther's Wedding took place from June 13 to 15, 2025. The event once again recorded six-figure visitor numbers and solidified its position as one of the most important historic city festivals in Central Germany.

The 29th edition of Luther's Wedding in Lutherstadt Wittenberg in 2025 followed the proven concept: opening on Friday evening, grand festival parade on Saturday afternoon, family program and children's parade on Sunday. Around 2,000 participants, 30 historical associations, and an estimated 150,000 visitors shaped the weekend. With this edition, the foundation was laid for the 2026 anniversary event.

Programme

The program followed the established three-day structure. Opening on Friday with the arrival of the wedding party, festival parade on Saturday at 2 PM starting from Luther House, family day with children's parade on Sunday. Stages around Schlossplatz, Markt, Lutherhaus, and Coswiger Straße with music, theater, and historical performances.
