Overview
The 2025 edition of Lunapark once again attracted tens of thousands of Paderborn residents and visitors from the Hochstift region during the Easter holidays Kirmes. Around 60 showmen offered carousels, roller coasters, and show stalls at Maspernplatz. As every year, the Wednesday Happy Hour promotion and the highlight weekend with fireworks were family magnets. Organizer City of Paderborn confirmed Lunapark as the most important Kirmes event for the season opener.
The 2025 edition followed the established 9-day format: opening on Saturday, Happy Hour on Wednesday, fireworks evening on Friday, closing on the second Sunday.
With around 60 showmen at Maspernplatz, a mix of classic family carousels and modern thrill rides, Lunapark once again proved to be Paderborn's most important spring Volksfest event. The tradition since 1919 lives on – with Bratwurst, almonds, and a Ferris wheel.
