Overview

The 170th Lübeck Folk and Remembrance Festival in 2025 attracted families and festival-goers for ten days to the car park in front of the MUK. With a parade, fireworks displays on Fridays, rides, and culinary stands, the Hanseatic city solidified its reputation as the home of one of Northern Germany's oldest folk festivals.

Review of the 170th Edition 2025

The 170th edition of the Lübeck Folk and Remembrance Festival took place in June 2025 for ten days on the car park in front of the MUK, right on the banks of the Trave. With the traditional parade, two fireworks displays over the Trave, and a packed programme of rides, market stalls, and game stalls, the Hanseatic city continued the festival tradition dating back to 1848.

The parade once again attracted numerous spectators to Lübeck's Old Town — featuring floats, music bands, traditional costume groups, and historical depictions. The evening fireworks displays on both Fridays were once again the most spectacular light moments of Lübeck's summer festival season.
