Edition 2025 — L/OST Poetry

The L/OST Poetry Festival 2025 took place in mid-July at the Alte Segeltuchfabrik Cottbus. Spoken word artists from several Central and Eastern European countries, combined with musical acts, shaped the programme — a festival that has established itself as a bridge between East German and Eastern European word art scenes.

In 2025, the Spoken Word Akademie once again used the industrial backdrop of the Alte Segeltuchfabrik for its international poetry festival. Artists from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Ukraine, and the USA met for three evenings of spoken word, rap, readings, and performance. The solidarity component with the Ukrainian sklad5 art gallery from Cherkasy was already established in 2025 and was continued and intensified in 2026. The festival has positioned itself as a unique event in Brandenburg's literary calendar.
