Long Night of the Stars 2025 in Tautenburg

As every year, the Thuringian State Observatory opened its doors to the public in 2025. Guided tours at the 2-meter Alfred Jensch Telescope with dome opening, presentation of the LOFAR radio telescope, hourly lectures on black holes, star formation, and exoplanets, plus constellation tours on the outdoor meadow in cooperation with the Urania Observatory Jena. In clear weather, visitors could follow live observations projected directly onto the dome ceiling — an experience that makes Tautenburg's science tangible for a broad audience.
