Long Night of Sciences Potsdam

The 2025 edition was marked by the AI hype and climate debate: AI stations at the Hasso Plattner Institute and climate simulations at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) were particularly popular. Children's University programs were sometimes fully booked hours in advance, and Telegrafenberg recorded visitor records.

The organizers concluded that 2025 was a clear testament to the format: in times of media uncertainty, many people sought direct contact with researchers — the Long Night of Sciences is a format that makes this possible. Potsdam particularly benefited from its reputation as a city of science.
