Long Night of Museums Regensburg — Edition 2025

The Long Night of Museums Regensburg launched in 2025 as its premiere edition and immediately became a cultural highlight of the UNESCO World Heritage City. Over 3,500 visitors took advantage of the offer to visit participating museums, galleries, churches, and special locations between 6:00 PM and 1:00 AM with a single ticket for €20.

The format proved to be a great success: special guided tours beyond regular opening hours, lectures, performances, and light installations transformed the Old Town into a contiguous exhibition space. The RVV shuttle between venues was also included in the ticket — a logistical solution that proved effective and will be continued in 2026.

As early as 2025, a children's afternoon program ran parallel to the evening program between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM at a special rate of €5, which was actively used by families. The positive response prompted the City of Regensburg to establish the format as an annual event in the cultural calendar.
