Overview

The 17th edition of the Long Night of Culture and Shopping took place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5 PM in Deggendorf's city centre. Until 11 PM, the LKE offered music, shows, activities, and shopping with free admission. On the Obere Stadtplatz, the multi-time world and European champions of show dancing performed with choreographies and lifts up to five metres high. In the cultural quarter, the City Museum, Craft Museum, and City Library opened with free admission, offering special guided tours and hands-on activities.

LKE 2025 in Deggendorf

The 17th Long Night of Culture and Shopping kicked off on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 5 PM. Stadtmarketing Deggendorf e.V. coordinated around a hundred activities in the city centre.

2025 Programme

On the Obere Stadtplatz, the Showfunkten – multiple world and European champions in show dance – presented a unique choreography with lifts up to five metres high. The City Museum hosted the special exhibition "Haller & Bachinger" with an artist's tour; the Craft Museum opened the special exhibition "Gut behütet" (Well Protected) with a hands-on activity for all age groups. Shops and restaurants offered special promotions, drink specials, and live music until 11 PM.
