In 2025, the Literaturfest München once again set accents in the international literary landscape with a prominent curatorial personality. At the Literaturhaus München and other venues, readings, panels, and workshops came together — a highlight of the Bavarian capital's literary season.
As always, the Literaturfest München 2025 was marked by a curated thematic focus set by a prominent author personality. International voices, German-speaking stars, and engaged political commentators shaped the ten-day program at the Literaturhaus München.
The Münchner Bücherschau also ran in parallel at the Haus der Kunst in 2025 — featuring an extensive publisher program and encounters for a broad audience. The combination of the curated main festival and the audience-oriented book fair solidified Munich's reputation as a UNESCO City of Literature.
