Overview

The reading festival „Literatur auf der Parkbank“ also took place in Cottbus in 2025 — in Goethepark by the Amtsteich and around the Dieselkraftwerk. Up to 40 authors read simultaneously on park benches, organized by Raumeroberer e.V. in partnership with the Brandenburgisches Landesmuseum für moderne Kunst. Free admission. The festival has been a regular part of Cottbus's summer cultural calendar since 2021.

Reading Festival 2025 in Retrospect

In 2025, „Literatur auf der Parkbank“ once again established itself as one of the special summer events in Cottbus. In Goethepark by the Amtsteich and in the outdoor area of the Dieselkraftwerk, up to 40 authors created a literary soundscape in the open air.

As in previous years — since the first Cottbus edition in 2021 — Raumeroberer e.V. was the main organizer, with BLMK as the main partner and the Brandenburgische Gesellschaft für Kultur und Geschichte as a cooperation partner. Free admission, easily accessible, and curated with literary ambition.
