Overview

In 2025, the kitchen courtyard at Altenberger Dom once again transformed into a literary stage for four days. With its tried-and-tested mix of readings, workshop discussions, a literary dinner, and a kitchen party with star chef Dieter Müller, the festival once again cemented its firm place in the cultural calendar of the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis.

The 2025 edition of Literatur am Dom once again confirmed the festival's reputation as a carefully curated format for contemporary German-language literature. As usual, the readings took place outdoors at the kitchen courtyard, with the Altenberger Dom serving as the atmospheric backbone of the event.

In 2025, the readings were also moderated by Denis Scheck and Bettina Böttinger. Special program items such as the writing workshop for young readers and the literary dinner and kitchen party with star chef Dieter Müller were also audience favorites in this edition.
