Overview

The lit.eifel 2025 took place as usual with around 25 literary events between April and November in the Nordeifel region. Readings, discussions, and workshops with German-speaking authors in Monschau, Blankenheim, Nideggen, Mechernich, Bad Münstereifel, and other locations.

lit.eifel 2025 — Program Overview

The 2025 edition of the lit.eifel literary festival followed its established format: around 25 readings, discussions, and workshops spread across the Eifel region and throughout the year (April to November). The Eifel Youth Literature Prize (12th edition in 2025) was held with its usual competition format.

The lit.eifel organizing committee confirmed at the end of the festival the continuation in 2026 — including the Schäfer reading in Bad Münstereifel on May 29, 2026, and the 13th Eifel Youth Literature Prize under the motto „Hoffen & Träumen". Funding from the Ministry for Culture and Science of NRW remains secured.
