Overview

The Liszt Festival Schloss Schillingsfürst 2025, as usual, took place at the end of June / beginning of July in the baroque Schloss Schillingsfürst. Young, award-winning pianists were taught in public masterclasses by internationally renowned Liszt experts, accompanied by concerts, readings, and lectures, and a closing concert.

The previous edition in 2025 continued the established concept of the Liszt Festival: public masterclasses with world-renowned pianists and Liszt experts, a concert program centered around the work of Franz Liszt, as well as readings and lectures at Schloss Schillingsfürst. For years, the festival has been promoting young international pianists and connecting Weimar, Liszt's place of activity, with the Franconian residential palace.

As every year, the closing concert with the awarding of the Marie-zu-Hohenlohe Medal marked the highlight of the festival week.
