Overview

The 26th Ostersbaumer Lichterwege 2025 attracted several thousand visitors to Wuppertal's Nordstadt. Over 7,000 mini-flames in colorful glasses transformed the district's stairs, squares, and walls into a romantic landscape of light, accompanied by choirs and musicians.

The Lichterwege 2025 continued the 26-year tradition: residents, artists, and visitors simultaneously lit 7,000 candles throughout the Ostersbaum district. Musicians and choirs at various stations accompanied the two-hour light installation. Again, hundreds in luminous costumes became part of the staging. Concept and artistic direction: Diemut Schilling.

Classic routes through the Ostersbaum district, 6–8 PM, 7,000 candles, musician and choir performances at several stations, participatory costume event by the neighborhood.
