Overview

On December 31st, 2025, the Decree of the Perpetual Adoration in Nankendorf once again featured the spectacular procession of lights. Despite deep sub-zero temperatures, thousands of visitors came to witness the sacrament procession through the valley illuminated by wax candles and Bengal fires — one of Germany's most impressive light installations.

The 2025 procession of lights in Nankendorf was once again an extraordinary experience. Despite temperatures well below freezing, thousands of believers and onlookers came to the Wiesenttal valley to witness the Decree of the Perpetual Adoration. The police and the Malteser Hilfsdienst reported a smooth process without incidents.

The day's schedule followed the proven liturgy: 10 AM opening service, 1 PM distribution of lights, 4 PM lighting and year-end Eucharist service, 5:15 PM sacrament procession accompanied by the Volunteer Fire Brigade, Riflemen's Association, mayor, and the Nankendorf Brass Band. Thousands of self-poured wax candles and red and green Bengal fires bathed the entire valley in a sea of light.
