Overview

The 2025 edition of the Lichtermarkt at Christuskirche Oberschöneweide took place on Saturday, November 29, 2025 – traditionally on the Saturday before the 1st Advent. Brass music, a decorated Christmas tree, craft activities for children, a stage programme, and a closing concert in the church at 6 p.m. characterized the afternoon. Free admission; proceeds to charitable causes.

On Saturday, November 29, 2025, the Christuskirchengemeinde Oberschöneweide opened its forecourt on Firlstraße for the annual Lichtermarkt. From 2 to 6 p.m., residents and families from the Treptow-Köpenick district gathered for mulled wine, bratwurst, brass music, and Advent atmosphere in front of the Neo-Gothic church.

As in previous years, stalls with handmade Advent gifts, craft activities for children, and performances by the brass choir characterized the festival. The traditional finale was the concert in the Christuskirche at 6 p.m. Proceeds from food and sales were passed on to the parish's work and local social initiatives.
