Overview
The Lichtermarkt Elmshorn 2025 ran from November 24 to December 24 around St. Nikolai Church. Over 100,000 visitors came for the sparkling sea of lights, the rustic wooden stalls, and the nostalgic carousel. The opening on November 24 at 6 pm featured an angel who activated the festive lighting with a gesture.
The 2025 edition ran from November 24 to December 24. Opening hours Monday to Saturday 11 am–9 pm, Sunday 2 pm–8 pm, Christmas Eve 10 am–2 pm. Wednesdays were Family Days with special prices for children.
The opening ceremony on November 24 at 6 pm featured an angel above the Old Market who activated the festive lighting with a gesture. This was followed by four weeks of Advent program with concerts, choirs, and the typical light atmosphere that gives the market its name.
