Overview

The 2025 Lichterfest once again confirmed its reputation as one of Düsseldorf's most beautiful summer evenings. The Düsseldorfer Symphoniker performed their two-hour open-air concert on the Spiegelweiher, synchronized with water and light effects. Picnic blankets covered the palace park, and the fireworks finale over the baroque palace facade drew applause from thousands of guests. As usual, the festival was sold out.

The 2025 edition followed the established format: Admission 6 PM, concert 10 PM, fireworks finale afterwards. Picnic blankets on the lawns, premium picnic baskets at the elevated seating areas.

The Düsseldorfer Symphoniker presented a repertoire of classical concert highlights and summery suites on the stage at the Spiegelweiher. The water and light choreography was, as always, synchronized in real-time with the musical highlights. The finale was the traditional fireworks display over the palace facade, unique in Düsseldorf's festival landscape.
