Edition 2025 — Lichterfest Rudow
The Lichterfest Rudow 2025 took place in late November in front of the Alte Dorfschule. The Gropiuslerchen choir at 6 p.m., a flashlight concert at 7 p.m., and stalls with mulled wine, grilled food, and sweets — one of the most atmospheric small pre-Christmas festivals in southern Berlin. Free admission.
The 2025 edition also followed the proven format. Families from Rudow, Buckow, and Gropiusstadt gathered in front of the historic brick building for the communal singing, the flashlight concert, and the convivial stalls. The Alte Dorfschule Rudow, as a cultural centre, offers a unique Berlin setting — a listed neo-Gothic building from 1890 meets Berlin neighbourhood culture. The festival is one of those intimate Berlin Advent formats that unfold their own charm away from the big city centre markets.
