Overview
The Lichterfest Gmund 2025 was hosted by Sportfreunde Gmund-Dürnbach e.V. on the usual lake promenade. The festival began in the late afternoon, with folk music by the Gasteiger Musikanten, a performance by the gymnastics children, and the LakeSide Bigband in the evening providing the musical backdrop.
As every year, the highlight was the launching of around 1,200 candles in small boats onto Lake Tegernsee – a quiet, romantic moment that has defined the festival for years. Stalls offered Steckerlfisch, cakes, and regional specialties. Free admission.
