Overview

The 22nd Leverkusen History Festival took place on Heritage Day 2025 at Villa Römer. Lectures, city tours, market of opportunities, and concerts – the annual civic festival of Leverkusen's history and monument preservation. Leverkusen's annual response to Heritage Day at Villa Römer in Opladen. Lectures, city tours, market of opportunities, and concerts around the House of City History – a proven civic festival by the Opladen Historical Society.

The 2025 edition continued the format developed since 2004: lectures, city tours, house opening, and market of opportunities at Villa Römer.

Patron Mayor Hebbel opened the festival, followed by lectures on the nationwide Heritage Day motto and guided city tours through Opladen focusing on industrial architecture. Public viewing of Villa Römer, including normally closed rooms, guided tours of current OGV Museum exhibitions, a market of opportunities with citizens' initiatives and local history societies, and musical accompaniment in the courtyard marked the festive day.
