Edition 2025 — Leverkusen Carnival Parades
The 2025 carnival parades took place from February 27th (Weiberfastnacht) to Rose Monday, March 3rd, 2025. As is traditional, the five major parades marched through Hitdorf, Schlebusch, Wiesdorf, Lützenkirchen, and Opladen, with the Rose Monday parade in Opladen as the season's highlight. The session, under the patronage of the Festausschuss Leverkusener Karneval, proceeded without major incidents.
Session 2024/25
The 2025 edition continued the unbroken tradition of the Leverkusen Carnival Parades. Despite increasing security requirements and costs, all five parades took place as planned. The Rose Monday parade in Opladen remained the largest in the city area with around 1,500 active participants. The experiences from 2025 were incorporated into the planning for the 2025/26 session, which culminates in February 2026.
