Overview

The 2025 Leutkirch Children's Festival took place traditionally in July on the Wilhelmshöhe festival meadow. Four days of festival program with funfair, festival tent, club stalls, and delegations from partner towns. The highlight was the school parade on Tuesday with hundreds of children in historical costumes and outfits marching through the old town.

2025 Children's Festival

The 2025 edition continued the centuries-old tradition. Opening on Saturday with the tapping of the first keg in the festival tent, festival evenings on Sunday and Monday with live music, and on Tuesday the grand school parade through the old town. Hundreds of schoolchildren marched with historical costumes, occupational outfits, and traditional Allgäu clothing through the town, accompanied by music bands, floats, and riders.

The delegations from Bédarieux, Lamalou-les-Bains, and Hérépian (France), as well as from Castiglione delle Stiviere (Italy), were present again and brought their own traditional costume groups. Thousands of spectators lined the parade route, many coming from all over the Allgäu region specifically to Leutkirch.
