Edition 2025 — Leonhardiritt Inchenhofen
The Leonhardiritt Inchenhofen 2025 took place on Sunday, November 9th. The eve featured a Holy Mass followed by a candlelight procession to the cemetery; on the festival Sunday itself, the Diocese of Augsburg celebrated the Pontifical Mass at 9:30 AM in the Pilgrimage Church of St. Leonhard. In the afternoon, the ride with around 200 horses, several music bands, and traditional costume groups circled the market center of Inchenhofen three times.
In 2025, the Leonhardiritt followed the traditional schedule: a candlelight procession on the eve, a solemn Pontifical Mass with a festive sermon on Sunday morning, followed by the assembly and the afternoon ride with three circuits of the market square and the blessing of the horses in front of the pilgrimage church. Around the event, restaurants and market stalls catered to the thousands of pilgrims and spectators from the Wittelsbacher Land, the greater Augsburg area, and Munich.
