Overview

The Leipzig Book Fair 2025 took place from March 27 to 30 at the Leipzig Trade Fair grounds. As every year, the event combined an industry fair, a reading festival, and the Manga-Comic-Con — four days when publishers, authors, and readers from all over Europe met in Leipzig. The Leipzig Book Fair Prize was traditionally awarded at the opening.

2025 Edition — Spring Highlight of the Industry

The Leipzig Book Fair 2025 once again attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors. For four days, readings, discussions, signing sessions, and the city-wide reading festival 'Leipzig liest' shaped the cityscape. Publishers presented spring new releases, the Manga-Comic-Con filled its hall with cosplayers, and the Leipzig Book Fair Prize set literary accents.

As in previous years, the fair offered not only a showcase for the industry but also a festival of reading and encounters, making Leipzig the literary center of Germany in spring.
