Edition 2025 — Lausitz Festival Görlitz
The 6th edition of the Lausitz Festival in 2025 spread theatre, music theatre, and concerts across numerous venues in the bilingual Lusatia region. As every year, Görlitz was a central venue between Cottbus and the Polish border. With its 7th edition in 2026, the festival will officially open in Görlitz for the first time.
Lausitz Festival 2025
In 2025, the Lausitz Festival again artistically connected the bilingual Lusatia region — from Lower Lusatia around Cottbus to Upper Lusatia around Görlitz and Bautzen. Theatre, music theatre, concerts, and readings were spread across historical venues in major cities and villages. As a border town on the Neisse, Görlitz played an important role in 2025 as well.
For the 7th edition in 2026, Görlitz will be the official opening city for the first time — with the Credo Prize and Bach in the Peterskirche.
