Overview

On May 1st, 2025, the traditional Laureckfest of the Swabian Alb Association local group Grabenstetten took place. As every year, hikers met at the Lauereckfels on the Albtrauf for homemade cakes and Swabian club catering.

The Laureckfest 2025 continued the long-standing May tradition. On May 1st — Labour Day and also the classic Swabian hiking day — the Albtrauf near Grabenstetten filled with hikers. From the village square, guests walked along the marked trails through the beech forests to the Lauereckfels.

At the simple festival hut, the Albverein helpers provided refreshments with homemade cakes, bratwurst, 'Maultaschen', and draft beer. The view from the rock into the Lenninger Tal — on clear May days extending far to Bad Urach and Hohenneuffen Castle — crowned the festival day. The event remained the most authentic hiking gathering on the Reutlingen Alb and an important date in the Albverein calendar.
