Overview
In 2025, the Lauf zwischen den Meeren again brought around 800 teams and thus several thousand runners from the North Sea to the Baltic Sea. Over ten stages covering 92.2 kilometres, the field crossed Schleswig-Holstein from Husum Harbour to Damp Harbour — an established sporting tradition held annually since 2007.
The 18th edition in 2025 followed the established format: a mass start early in the morning at Husum Harbour, ten stage changeovers, a festive atmosphere at the changeover points, and a large finish celebration in Damp. As every year, Zippel's Läuferwelt and main sponsor VR Bank organised the event.
The fastest teams reached Damp around 2:15 PM as usual — with good conditions, the top result was again close to the 5-hour mark.
