The 25th edition of the Landshut Short Film Festival celebrated a small anniversary in 2025, once again bringing hundreds of short films from around the world to Lower Bavaria. For six days, Kinopolis, Salzstadel, and Kinoptikum screened film blocks of feature films, documentaries, animation, and experimental formats.

For its 25th edition, the Landshut Short Film Festival 2025 once again attracted thousands of visitors to the Lower Bavarian district capital. On the three festival screens — Kinopolis, Salzstadel, and Kinoptikum — competition blocks from the international program, the GSA section (Germany/Austria/Switzerland), animation, and documentary film were shown. A jury of filmmakers and critics awarded the festival's own prizes; meanwhile, the audience voted for their favorites. The anniversary edition also looked back at 25 years of festival history.
